Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026. In plain English: we collect what we need to clean your bins, and nothing else.
Who we are
The Bin Doctor is a residential trash bin cleaning service operating in Murrieta and the surrounding Southwest Riverside County area of California. You can reach us at (951) 397-1590 or info@thebindoctor.co.
What we collect
We only collect information you give us directly through our booking form:
- Your name, phone number and email address
- The service address where your bins are located
- Your normal trash collection day and approximate pickup window
- The plan you selected and how many bins you want serviced
- Any access notes you choose to provide — gate codes, pets, where bins are stored
- Your acknowledgment that outdoor water access is available
- Whether you chose to pay online now or at the time of service
We do not ask for and never receive your full card number. Card details are entered directly on Stripe's secure checkout page, not on our website.
Why we collect it
To do the job. Your address and trash day determine which route you go on. Your access notes tell our technician how to reach your bins. Your phone and email let us confirm service, tell you about scheduling changes, and send receipts. That's it — we don't build profiles, and we don't use your information for anything unrelated to servicing your bins.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We use a small number of service providers to run the business, and information is shared with them only as needed:
- Stripe — processes payments. Stripe receives your email and payment details, plus a reference containing your name, address, phone and service details so we can match a payment to a booking. Stripe's own privacy policy governs their handling of that data.
- Formspree — delivers your booking details to our inbox so we can build the route. They act as a pass-through for the form submission.
- Vercel — hosts this website and, if enabled, provides aggregate visitor analytics. Vercel's web analytics is cookie-free and does not track individuals across websites.
- Google Fonts — this site loads its typeface from Google's font service, which means your browser makes a request to Google and your IP address is visible to them as part of that request. No account or identifying information is transmitted.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or as necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set advertising cookies and does not run third-party ad trackers. When you book, your booking details are briefly stored in your own browser's session storage so that the confirmation page can show your order summary after you return from Stripe. That data stays on your device, is cleared when the confirmation page loads, and is never accessible to anyone else.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and service records for as long as you're a customer, and afterward for as long as reasonably necessary for tax, accounting and dispute-resolution purposes. Payment records are retained by Stripe according to their own retention policies and applicable financial regulations.
How it's protected
This site is served over HTTPS. Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor, and never touches our systems. That said, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Just call or text (951) 397-1590 or email info@thebindoctor.co and we'll take care of it. Deleting your information may mean we can no longer provide service.
California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. As a small local business we fall below the CCPA's applicability thresholds, but we honor those requests regardless — and as stated above, we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Children
This service is intended for adults arranging service at their own property. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
Questions
Call or text (951) 397-1590, or email info@thebindoctor.co. A real person will answer.
This policy describes our actual practices in plain language. It is not legal advice, and it hasn't been reviewed by an attorney. If your business circumstances change — employees, larger scale, new data uses — it's worth having a lawyer review it.
